The founder of social network “Vkontakte” and the app Telegram, Pavel Durov said that he had received a warning from Google that some “government” hackers can try to hack into his account.
“Google argues that government-backed hackers are trying to hack me. I never use Gmail for important correspondence, but somehow I’m not surprised,” wrote Durov on his page in Twitter.
The government of which country was behind the hackers, the warning Google is not specified. The film also does not give any other comments.
The events unfolded against the backdrop of earlier reports that Russia may block Telegram. It was about appearing on the site Change.org the petition of users of Telegram. The authors stated that the Federal service for supervision in the sphere of Telecom, information technologies and mass communications (Roskomnadzor) demanded from the developers of instant messenger to provide resource information to the Russian authorities. Later in Roskomnadzor denied this information, calling it “rumours”.
The developers of Telegram, in turn, claimed that no government agencies or intelligence agencies will not receive information from the messenger. “Yet no government or intelligence Agency in the world has not received a single bit of information from us. Always will be”, — is spoken in the answer of the developers of Telegram in response to the request of RNS.
