In Russia since may 13, has increased the minimum retail price for spirits. Now the bottle of vodka of 0,5 l will cost at least 205. should be of the order of the Ministry of Finance. According to the document, the minimum price from the manufacturer for a bottle of vodka will amount to 173 rbl., and wholesale — 178 RUB.

In parallel, prices have risen in price and brandy. In particular, the minimum retail price for a bottle of brandy with a volume of 0.5 l will now be 371. the Selling price of the cognac producers established in the amount of RUB 314, wholesalers, 323 RUB. per bottle.

The order of the Ministry of Finance was published on the official portal of legal information on 2 may. The document comes into force after 10 days after day of official publication.

The need to raise minimum prices, the Finance Ministry explains the increase of excise duty rates, increase in electricity tariffs and higher production fixed costs, which includes rent, salaries of administrative staff, cost of promotions and other things.

From January 1, 2017, for the first time after 2014, the excise tax on vodka and other strong alcohol has increased from 500 to 523 rubles. per 1 liter of anhydrous alcohol.

Raising the minimum retail price of a bottle of vodka is around 8%. Until today it was 190. the Minimum retail price of cognac rose by about 15%.
