The CEO of MegaFon Sergey Soldatenkov told about the types of compensation that the operator offers its subscribers affected by a catastrophic failure of communications on Friday, may 19. Appeal to the subscribers of the company published on the website of “Megaphone” in social network “Vkontakte”.

“Since Saturday we already offer compensation to those who contacted the contact center. Today we give you the opportunity to obtain it without treatment,” said Soldatenkov.

Its customers who were in the disaster area, “MegaFon” will offer a choice of one of three payment options: 1 GB and 50 minutes of voice communication; 2 GB or free viewing of one of the films in “the Megaphone.TV”.

Compensation will be offered to all users of the subscribers left without a voice and the ability to send SMS messages, Soldatenkov said. He also said that subscribers will be notified of compensation details via SMS within the next weeks.

Massive communication failure on the network “MegaFon” took place on Friday, may 19, from 12:00 GMT. The problem has affected customers in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Ufa and other cities of Central Russia and the Volga region.
