On the “Mail of Russia” it was possible to pick them up with “Yandex.Market”

“Yandex” and “Mail of Russia” agreed on cooperation. Now the goods ordered from “Yandex.Market”, will be available in 87 centres for issuing and receiving parcels (CVP) organized by the “Mail of Russia” in Moscow. This was told presented both companies, the correspondent of RBC.

According to the head of service “Yandex.Shipping” Dmitry Mamonov, service users will be free. Until the end of April the fee will be waived and shops, then they will have to pay the shipping cost at current rates of “Mail of Russia”, that is, a parcel weighing up to 5 kg will have to pay 160 rubles.

While this delivery option is running in pilot mode and it occupied only the online stores who took part in the testing. From March 30 the service will be available to other companies on “Yandex.Market,” but provided that these outlets are connected to the program “Market Ordering” and accept the prepayment.

As reported by Mamonov, the company conducted an experiment in Moscow in December 2016, in which it was found that increasing the number of product number of orders in the online stores can increase to 50%.

“Yandex” plans to extend the service to other regions of Russia, employing CWPP.

In July 2015, the Internet company introduced the aggregator of delivery services — “Yandex.Shipping” intended to help small and medium online stores. Among the partners of the project “Mail of Russia”, as well as logistics companies Boxberry, DPD, Axiomus and “swift”. Yandex controls the delivery through the warehouse of one of the partners, and ensures the shipment of goods, document flow and billing system, and takes responsibility for its preservation.

“Mail of Russia” in turn, is also working with Alibaba, whose “daughter,” the logistics company Cainiao in February 2017 launched together with the Russian company a simplified version of the registration packages for online trading platform AliExpress. The new service aims to reduce the number of undelivered parcels and time of delivery.

AliExpress can be considered as one of the main competitors of “Yandex.Market.” In the annual report for investors “Yandex” noted that the possible establishment of a joint venture of Sberbank and AliExpress potential risk to themselves. Internet holding has concluded that such cooperation can have a negative impact on brand and business Russian search engine.
