The company SpaceX has announced that it plans to launch the first commercial flight around the moon in late 2018. The weekly flight to the satellite of the Earth will take part in two space tourist. They are, according to the company, has made a significant part of the payment for the journey

American private space company SpaceX has announced plans to send at the end of 2018 in a week-long flight around the moon two tourists. It follows from the message published on the official website of the company.

“We are pleased to announce that SpaceX will send two individuals on a flight around the moon at the end of next year. <…> These people will travel into space, carrying the hopes and dreams of all mankind, driven by the universal human spirit of pioneering,” — said in a statement.

The names of the tourists at their request are not disclosed. The company noted that they have already paid a large portion of the whole flight. As early as 2017, they will undergo the necessary medical tests and training.

A tourism mission scheduled for the truck Dragon 2 (Crew Dragon), bring it into orbit will rocket heavy class Falcon Heavy. This is a new SpaceX spacecraft, which is currently still in development and being tested in pilot mode. The first flights of the Dragon 2 and the Falcon Heavy is scheduled for 2017.
