The income of the families of government officials increased by 18% compared to the previous year, estimates RBC. For comparison, the salary of Russians has increased in 2016, only 7.7%
The aggregate earnings of the members of the government (Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers) and their wives or husbands in 2016, as published in Friday’s returns, amounted to 2.42 billion rubles a Year earlier, the government members reported on total family income 1.98 billion rubles. Thus, the declared family income of the members of the government increased by 22%.
In 2015, officials of the government was one less: Mutko was appointed Minister of sport and in 2016 he was appointed to the newly created post of Deputy Prime Minister, and his former place put Pavel Kolobkov. The average family income 32 current members of the government for the year amounted to 75.6 mln compared to RUB 63.9 million for an average of 31 official a year earlier, the calculated RBC.

This 18% growth — faster than inflation and incomes of Russians. According to Rosstat, in 2016 nominal salary in Russia on average increased by 7.7%, and average inflation was 7.1%. Earnings of officials about whom they report, include not only their salaries, but also income, e.g. from Bank deposits or sale of real estate.
It is possible to calculate the incomes of officials and their families in another way: take the total family income of the applicable members of the government and compare it with the figure for the same officials before last year, when some of them haven’t worked in government. Their total family income increased by 29% (the calculation does not take into account the Minister of education Olga Vasilyeva, data on income of which for 2015 is not available — then she worked as a Deputy head of Department in the presidential administration).
Five Russian Ministers and two Deputy Prime Ministers (only seven out of 32) in 2016, earned less than their wives. The largest gap in the marital income (in magnification terms) — the family of the Minister of communications and mass communications Nikolai Nikiforov: if he earned 5.8 million rubles, his wife — RUB 46.8 million (8.4 times more).
Much less the spouse earned and the head of the Ministry of culture Vladimir Medinsky (RUB 6.7 million, 6.5 times less than his wife). The income of the Minister of labour Maxim Topilin (5.8 million rubles) in 3.9 times more modest than his wife. Minister of construction Mikhail men — 4.4 times, and the Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev — 1.8 times.

Mikhail Abyzov, who was a Minister with the highest earnings at the end of 2015, this time went down to second place with an income of 520,9 million rubles.
Minister with modest incomes were Alexander Tkachev. He earned 5,6 million roubles, almost nine times less than last year. “Income in 2015 was higher because Alexander Tkachev in the same year received an inheritance in connection with the death of his father,” — said the representative of the Minister.
